Qualifications

You Show Up Ready to Learn. You want a career and not just a paycheck. Ideally, you have 2-4 years of base residential or commercial experience (or one magical year that was enough to convince you of the electrician life).

Flip on the “People Person” Switch. When you work directly with service requests and customers, you make those people feel heard and taken care of - not frustrated and dumb.

“Belt On” Learning. You are able to execute and deliver on various tasks: pipe bending, pulling wire and a basic ability to read prints. You love to learn something new everyday – at Empowered, you will learn from experts in their field.

Ready for Responsibility. Although everyone at Empowered will support you, you should be able to independently install electrical materials for residential or commercial projects. We’re looking for attitude and effort more than skill and experience.

Adhere to Guidelines. We don’t mess around when it comes to OSHA regulations. We wouldn’t put you or your team in a position to compromise safety.

Disqualifications

Career Growth Isn’t Your Priority. If your goal is to secure a job and coast . . . that’s great. But at Empowered, we will push you to be the best electrician possible. This means the climb will get tough at times, but it’s because the last thing we want for you is to be content. Enhance your career at Empowered Electric.

You’re Independent. To a Fault. If you consider yourself a “Lone Wolf,” Empowered might not be the best place for you (even though “Lone Wolf” is a pretty sweet nickname). Our team looks after one another and pushes each other to do excellent work and grow in our craft.

You’re Not Quite There. If you feel like Empowered is the place for you, but your skillset isn’t ready for the ensuing tasks...we respect your honesty. We care about the drive to get better just as much as the skill itself. When both of those qualities align, let’s start a conversation.
