By | Podcast | No Comments

Hey guys, so last week we learned who Shane Fowler is and how his childhood experiences helped develop him into the person he is today and the company that he has created. This week we’re diving into what Mindmade is, how it got started, and where Mindmade is going. They say it best on their website..  “We are a community of individuals, creatives, and professionals –  humbly pursuing a consistent, remarkable product in an environment that challenges the status quo and the traditional understanding of ‘design’ and ‘office’.”

Disclaimer :: Shane is an unlicensed architect – and must be presented as an architectural designer. He has 13 years experience in the profession and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from Drury University. In lieu of focusing his time and efforts within the confines of a test – he has focused on professional advancement outside the traditional path of practice. His desire is not to be an Architect… but much, much more.

EP.22 – Loyalty Isn’t A One-Way Street

By | Podcast | No Comments

In this EP, Josh shares a story about one of the first jobs Empowered Electric landed with Oakwood Contractors. Many times in the service industry, people capitalize off of fear and desperation as a sales tactic to make the most money off a single job. However, right from the jump Josh knew that wasn’t the path Empowered was going to take. Instead, he began to build Empowered as a company that is not about making that quick buck, but more about building relationships through loyalty. Everybody wants loyalty from their customers right? That’s kind of a no brainer but loyalty goes both ways and in order to get what you want, first you must give it. Listen in how Josh’s loyalty approach turned a small job into not just a big customer of ours but, a loyal customer and a great friend. Enjoy.

EP. 21 – The Calling

By | Podcast | No Comments

In my personal experience anytime I’ve wanted to start something new, it meant putting an end to something else first. For instance, when I wanted to start losing weight, I stopped eating fast food. Another example is when I got a job. I stopped staying up late watching tv and playing video games because I had to get up early in the morning.  Listen in to this EP to hear the story of how the Empowered Electric movement began with Josh putting an end to a reoccurring problem he kept facing by answering the question, ” What if I cared more about people and less about profit?”

Special Valentines Day E⚡️P with Bridget Levin

By | Podcast | No Comments

Ladies and Gentleman, Happy Day of Love.  I know, no better way, then to start this special day  talking to the special gal of Empowered Electric.  You have heard me say over and over again that Empowered Electric would not exist if it wasn’t for Bridget Levin.
I think when you read that you might think I’m referring to a one time decision, a moment of heroism, a single event that gave me the courage to jump ship and start my own thing.
HA!
Please do not let yourself think that.  That would be like thinking that the wedding day, saying, “I do” or kissing the bride was the same as developing and maintaining a healthy marriage.
To Be Honest this interview is meant to drive deep into what it really takes, what it really costs, to be married and start a company.  It’s hard, it’s painful, there are many ups and downs but if you are committed it can be  the  most amazing thing in the world.
We are Happy, Our Marriage is Healthy, We Love each other Completely.  I hope this Interview helps you realize you don’t have to settle or ever stop fighting for eachother.
