If you haven't watched our "How to install Three Way Switches" yet, STOP NOW AND DO THAT. 4 way switches are an extension of 3 ways and a lot of things will not make sense if you don't have a solid understanding of 3 ways.
You know... I'm just now realizing that a lot of things in electrical terms don't make sense 😂
Single Pole Switching is used from, you guessed it, a single location. Makes sense, but if you have two locations of control it is called a 3-Way and if you have more than two locations it's called a 4-way.
It actually could be called "As many as you want Switches" because you can add as many 4-way switches in between two 3-ways as you want. The Never Ending Switches.
