Why are blunder plugs so hard to install?

Early on I heard that Apprentices make mistakes, Journeyman know how to fix those mistakes, and Masters know how to make you think those mistakes are change orders and you should pay for them :)

Funny Not Funny, but the truth is we will all make mistakes, blunder plugs while not cool are needed.

If you have been too ambitious with your knock outs or had the 3/4" hole bust out when you just needed the 1/2", we have all installed theses...
